ACFT Score Chart: A Comprehensive Guide

The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is a physical fitness test that measures the strength, endurance, and mobility of soldiers. The test consists of six events, each designed to assess a different aspect of physical fitness. The ACFT score chart is a tool that helps soldiers understand how their performance on each event translates into an overall score.

Understanding the ACFT Score Chart

The ACFT score chart is divided into three categories: Black, Gray, and Gold. Each category represents a different level of soldier performance. Soldiers who score in the Black category are considered to have the highest level of physical fitness, while those who score in the Gold category are considered to have the lowest level of physical fitness.

The ACFT score chart is further divided into six columns, one for each event. The events are as follows:

  1. Deadlift: Measures lower body strength.
  2. Standing Power Throw: Measures upper body power.
  3. Hand-Release Push-Up: Measures upper body endurance.
  4. Sprint-Drag-Carry: Measures total body fitness.
  5. Leg Tuck: Measures core strength.
  6. Two-Mile Run: Measures aerobic endurance.

Each column is divided into four rows, representing the four categories of performance: Black, Gray, Gold, and Fail. The scores required to achieve each category are as follows:

How to Use the Army ACFT Score Chart

To use the ACFT score chart, simply find your score for each event in the appropriate column and row. Then, add up your scores to determine your overall score. The maximum score is 600 points.

For example, if you deadlifted 140 lbs, threw the ball 12.5 meters, did 60 hand-release push-ups, completed the sprint-drag-carry in 1 minute and 30 seconds, did 20 leg tucks, and ran two miles in 13 minutes and 30 seconds, your overall score would be 600 points.

The ACFT score chart is an essential tool for soldiers who want to understand their physical fitness level. By using the chart, soldiers can identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop a training plan to improve their performance. If you’re looking to improve your ACFT score, start by focusing on your weakest event and work your way up from there.
