The ACFT Grading Calculator is a helpful tool for soldiers preparing for the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT), replacing the old Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) since October 2020. This test aims to evaluate soldiers’ physical readiness, focusing on strength, endurance, and mobility through six events:
- Deadlift: Measures lower-body strength. Lift a weight from the ground to a standing position.
- Standing Power Throw: Tests explosive power by throwing a 10-pound ball as far as possible.
- Hand-Release Push-Up: Assesses upper-body strength and endurance. Lower your body, release hands, and push back up.
- Sprint-Drag-Carry: Evaluates muscular endurance and quick movement through sprints, drags, and carries.
- Leg Tuck: Measures core strength and endurance by hanging from a bar and bringing knees up to elbows.
- Two-Mile Run: Tests aerobic and muscular endurance by completing a two-mile run.
Scores for each event, based on time or repetitions, contribute to the overall ACFT score, with a maximum of 600 points. Understanding the ACFT is crucial for effective preparation, and the ACFT Grading Calculator aids in determining scores and identifying areas for improvement.
